It's time for you to get with your horse and make a plan for spring and summer and execute that plan!
30+ years of raising, training, showing and selling horses and a lifetime connection to the horse and the people who love them, Barb Christensen nationally known trainer and instructor who is known for pairing horses and riders for success! No nonsense simple horsemanship that will get you where you want to be.
This series of clinics is designed for horse owners of all levels, any discipline and any breed who want to understand and communicate better with their horse, their trainer, and even their husband or wife!
"Sometimes it takes that trained eye that isn't the same one who always sees you ride to point out ways that you can improve your seat, hands and legs and attitude to get the most out of your horse weather it's for pleasure or competition."
Spring Series of 4 clinics to choose from or benefit from all four as a part of your own personal progression.
Stable your horse on a first come first serve basis. Additional stall fee of $13.00 for the day or work from your trailer for free.
The clinics can be taken out of order and upon popular demand some or all will be repeated in the summer months.
At each clinic Barb will evaluate you and your horse together 15 minutes at a time one on one then you’ll be assigned a suitable group or groups that you may ride in throughout the day. You will be asked to submit a letter by email or in person prior to the clinic explaining some of your goals and concerns as well as some information about you and your horse. Each clinic must have a minimum of 10 paid riders or will be postponed. A maximum of 30 will be accepted.

No matter if it's your horse you’re communicating with or your "people" who are involved with you and your horse, we can figure out how to get the message across so you can do what you want with your horse (or maybe a different one in some cases!) This clinic deals with what message are you giving and to whom and what result you are getting and why? You will learn why mixed messages usually get mixed results! Are you saying one thing with one part of your body and something entirely different with another to your horse? Are you telling your trainer "I'm trying but..." or "He won’t do it! I'm doing what your telling me!"
Barb wants to help you to get all these kinds of issues identified now or the whole summer could be lost making up time!
To see if this clinic is right for you, you may ask yourself : Am I having fun with my horse? Am I competing at the level I want to be? Does my horse respect me? It could be your hands, your seat, your bits. Or is it your trainer, your horse, your mother! or or or.. . OR What is really holding you and your horse back from achieving your goals?
Bring your "perfect horse" or your “problem horse” your “young one” or “your old one” to this clinic and let’s get to the bottom of your questions. Let’s talk about your goals and let’s begin to formulate a plan so you can enjoy the horse you've been feeding all winter!
Clinic 2 April 25th YOUR HANDS YOUR BITS AND THE MOUTH IN BETWEEN THEM!
Clinic 3 May 2nd HOW TO PRACTICE AND WHEN TO QUIT BEFORE YOU START NEW HABITS ( NOT USUALLY GOOD ONES)!
Clinic 4 May 9th POLISH IT UP, SIT UP and GET ON WITH IT!
Bring your horse or spend the day observing 9:00am to 5:00pm with 30 minute lunch break $100. per person adult or kids 10-18. $85. for additional clinics if paid in advance at a clinic your attending. Children under 10 free and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Horses are expected to have been vaccinated and healthy.
Again you mail email through craigslist any questions and if you dont get a response you'll know you need to call instead! You must RSVP by phone only to avoid any loss of email.
SEE YOU THERE! Barb Christensen phone number 509 979-2194
