All breeds welcome!
The third annual Mustang Days is going to be a little different (and better!) than before. We will be at Busy Bee arena on the last weekend in June. On Saturday there will be several demonstrations and on Sunday we'll have a trail challenge. It ought to be lots of fun! I'll post more specifics when I get them, but I wanted to post this hoping that some of you might keep your calendar open and come see us!

Will there be an in-hand trail challenge? That is the same weekend as Hoopfest again and my son is always on a Hoopfest team, but sometimes it's over by Sunday. I'll try to slip away to watch some of the demos on Saturday, too, since Busy Bee is so close. I LOVE that location.

Yes there will be an in-hand challenge. I'll be bringing Scout and maybe Bella to do the in-hand. But if John wants to bring Cisco I'll leave Bella home.
I've never been to Busy Bee. Lea is going to take me and show me around one of these days when I get some free time.

I like Busy Bee, much closer to me as well.
Will it be open to other breeds or only Mustangs?

Open to all breeds. We're thinking we'll have a separate high point award for different breeds.

Just some additional information --
Kyya Grant is a wonderful trainer. She has worked with Mark Rashid in the past and hosts his clinics every spring. She has a wonderful feel and insight to horses and is worth watching.
I've also attended clinics by Mikki Kyson, and she is very knowledable and interesting as well.
And...if you ever get to talking to Mike about hooves, you'll never put shoes on your horses again! He is extremely knowledgeable about the function and dynamics of horses' feet. I'm sure his presenatation will be worth watching.
All of these people have valuable things to teach us about all horses, so don't stay away just because you don't have a mustang!
I'm planning on going on Saturday if anyone wants to meet up. As usual, I work on Sundays and so can't make the trail challenge. I may try to get Alexa down there, though, if possible, as she is really upset that she might miss it on account of me working.

The poster looks great! I'll be coming to it off and on as I can--it's the same weekend as hoopfest and, as always, my son has a team we've put together from his old friends from Lewiston. So, I'll have a house full of boys and I'll be going back and forth with them to their games.

I wanted to take Fox on Sunday to the trail challenge. But I won't be able to. Hopefully I can come Saturday and watch some of the clinicians.

Don't forget about Mustang Days this weekend! I'd love to see some of you there. I'll have 3 of my horses there out in the corrals out back, one for sale (but only to an absolutely perfect home).
We've had a few of our helpers come down with health problems. If you'd like to help out on Sunday PLEASE call me 509-432-9021.
Oh, and Linda, I tried to get them to change the weekend but it didn't work out for some reason. I was really hoping to make it so you could come, darn it.

Thanks, Andrea! As long as I have a basketball playing/loving son, I'm destined to miss Mustang Days!! But I'm really going to try to slip over there between his games this weekend. They released the brackets and the schedule, so I'll pick that up today and know more. I REALLY want to come out!!!

I'm avoiding Hoopfest and Ironman like the plague.... I'm going to see all those people on Sunday and Monday, when they are trying to fly home with all their equipment... oiy!
I'm hoping to come. No horses though, just be there and enjoy the horses. Money is too tight to bring anyone out of the pasture these days.

I love Hoopfest--but I don't know if I would if my son wasn't playing--I'm sure not. I just kind of like watching him play sports--and his buddies he's grown up with who are in town from Lewiston. The weather's going to be great for it.
