Anyone know of a good English Saddle repair person? I have a Kieffer Dressage saddle that needs the seat repaired. Indian Harness said that it needed to be done by some one who specializes in English saddles.

If you are willing to go to Bend I can recommend a master saddle maker there. You can send it to him. I sent my county dressage saddle to him to be reflocked and he said it did not need it, that he could do it but I would be wasting my money. I am having him restitch the billets just to make sure the stitching is good. Susan

His name is Hans Biglajzer. He is in Bend, Or 541-318-5410 I think he said he is 82 years old and learned his trade in a concentration camp in Poland during WWII. Very interesting man. He is a master saddle maker and was the best price for reflocking of anyone I contacted and was honest and told me I did not need it. I don't think he is real fast but he only does quality work. He will ask you if the leather is in good shape as he does not like to work on saddles that have not been taken care of and the leather is dry and cracked. Susan
