Hey everybody!!! I finally got an account on Lilac City Riders. I haven't talked to you guys in awhile. I just got a new horse. He is an Appendix Quarter Horse. His registered name is Ima Hotrodin Fox. "Fox" as we call him is a really nice horse. He's a been there done that kind of guy. We bought him from a lady who was boarding him at Busy Bee. I just love this guy. I clicked right away with Fox. They said he hasn't been ridden in 6 months. I just got right on him and he walked, trot, cantered and stood still for mounting. Here's a picture of me and Fox you can all see.

Yay! Your mom told us about him, and he sounded like an AWESOME horse to me. Congratulations!!! I can't wait to ride with you and meet your new Fox.

There's only one problem with this horse... I WANT HIM! He is super-sweet and very well behaved. Of course, it takes awhile to get to know all horses and their quirks and such, but Alexa and I both just loved him. There was something really quiet and sweet in his eyes.
The poor guy is the low-low-low man on the totem pole at Busy Bee, and he has lots of scars, and yes, that's blood on his white socks... I can't wait to go pick him up tomorrow. Dorky husband took the truck to work even after I reminded him that I needed it today, or he'd be here now. The poor guy really needed brushing -- he's shedding in clumps. He might even have a touch of rainrot or something, but I think it's really just lack of grooming. We'll probably give him a good bath as soon as we get a warm day and maybe mix some Betadine in with our shampoo just in case there is a bit of rot there.
But he was really sweet and well-mannered, and Alexa felt super-safe on him. I'll have to have Mike work on his feet -- his heels are underrun, but the hoof quality looked nice and strong.
I think he's a keeper!

Congrats Alexa and Laura! I can't wait to go for some rides with you two soon.
When I first moved here and was looking to board, I checked out those pastures at Busy Bee and while I believe that horses should be together and be a community, I felt that I wouldn't have much control over what my horses ate or even catch them in that big pasture full of geldings. Glad your getting him out of there ASAP
