I'm wondering who is planning on joining us out at Escure Ranch. I know we have a thread on the EVENTS section of this forum, but I wanted to get this discussed a bit before hand so we all know what to expect.
There are only two corrals estimated at 12x12. Katie and I went out and checked things out to see. We both decided that our horses are pretty quiet being tied so we won't need the corrals. We figured that we will keep it open for someone that is having a difficult time with their horse being tied. Or maybe we can take turns at letting our horses have a little time off from being tied.
I'm planning on being there with my son and our two geldings. We will have our camper and at this point the stove inside does work. We got it on Craigslist, so this might be it's Maiden Voyage. We plan on coming on Saturday morning, setting up and riding. Then return home Sunday sometime. I don't live that terribly far from Sprague so, I think my husband may come down at supper time.
I also was thinking that we should have a Potluck Supper together Saturday night. I volunteer to make Potato Salad. Teresa (IEBCH) said she can make a dutch oven course.
What do the rest of you think?
I still don't have Sunday off from work, but I'm working on it!

I still have to talk to my husband, but I think we'll probably go & get there late in the day on Friday. It'd be me, my husband, and 13 year old girl and 8 year old boy. I guess that's not much help since it's not a definite...
I think all our horses will stand tied so we shouldn't need a corral. We can also bring temporary electric fence although I haven't had a lot of luck with that in the past.

Well darn it, my husband doesn't want to go. I thought about going without him, but that would probably be bad since it's Memorial day weekend. You all have fun! And take pictures!
(I'll keep working on him just in case he'll change his mind though.)

I'm going to really try to make it to this.
I'm doing Shelley's clinic the following week, June 4-5, plus the Reardan poker ride on June 4 after the clinic. I don't know if I can handle two super-busy weekends in a row with working in between! My poor dogs and husband are going to be so neglected! Wayne has a new job and the schedule is all wonky -- hard to predict what days he will have off -- but if it's at all possible, I will try to be there.

Looks like nobody's male counterparts are coming so mine probably won't want to. I'm going to talk to him tonight about going up with Katie on Saturday, coming back Sunday, so he won't be abandoned all weekend. My 7-year-old daughter wants to come, but I don't have a horse for her to ride and if hubby won't come supervise her I'm kind of stuck leaving her behind this time. I'll confirm with him tonight and post back ASAP.

Looks like I'll be coming solo for one night, catching a ride with Katie. I make some killer brownies...would that be OK for Sat nite or should I bring another main dish?
