June 5th, at Newport WA, Saddle Mountain Competitive Trail Challenge
The ride is located on a 600 acre private ranch with gorgeous views of the river, open meadows and some forests
2 arenas (one covered) and large round pen
fun obstacles (things you would find on a trail ride) with judges. riders are judged on techniques, ie how you ride, proper position for going up/down hills etc, horses are judged on calmness, willingness and such
4 divisions extreme (advanced), novice, junior
and a new class: the in-hand class great for the minis, ponies, too young to ride or not broke to ride horses
food, sodas, water available for purchase
camping is available ($15/night)
