Alexa and I ventured out on our own yesterday for a ride at Riverside. This is the first time we have done this without other people along, as I'm a little directionally challenged and was always afraid I'd get lost!
Well, the road to the area we usually park at was closed, so we parked down where the old stables used to be, wondering what was going on up there. We saddled up and rode up the road, and our usual parking area was full of trailers and stuff, and there was a guard at the entrance. We asked him what was going on, and he said they were shooting a movie there! He was nice and said we could go through on our horses, just to make sure we didn't disturb any of the equipment.
It was a good test of our previous desensitizing work we've done with the horses, because there was stuff all over - yellow lights strung from trees, cables and wires running everywhere with little bridges across the trails. The arena was full of stuff - we didn't even venture over there. Once we got past the stuff, we had a normal trail ride and even didn't even get lost!
It was quite an interesting day. I guess the movie is a comedy-horror movie called Knights of Badassdom. The guard didn't know how long they would be shooting up there, but thought I'd give a heads-up in case anyone else is planning to use that trailhead at Riverside.

It's a shame it’s such a terrible film. (All Horror films are terrible). Otherwise, I’d like to watch it because of where they are shooting it. Synopsis
