Found this on Craigslist, sounds like a good idea for a family getaway with horses!

That sounds like fun. Mike and I have stayed at a couple bed and barns and had a lot of fun. Usually they have great trails adjacent. One was in Winchester Idaho and the other in Walla Walla on spring barrel release. Perfection!

The one in Winchester was a little cabin with 1 BR and a corral outside. It was behind an old farmhouse, but still private. They made you breakfast in the morning. It was cheap, too, like $40.00, but that was a while back. I'll see if I can find their website. Wow, I found it. Here it is. Looks like it's $60 now. www.bbonline.com/id/bunkhouse/Whew--it took me a while to find this one!!! It's on the Klicker ranch (strawberries), thus the name. We did have to walk the horses across a metal bridge to get to the house, but once there they had a decent size turnout. LOTS of great trails--they're dirt roads. This one's a little spendier, but you can sleep lots of people if you want to split the cost or do a retreat. I believe the kitchen had ants, but they didn't bother us. I imagine they've fixed that problem by now. www.vrbo.com/2256
