So my poor old mare is becoming even more swayed backed as she ages. We had the chiropractor/Vet out and she has suggested trot poles, and belly ups. We've been doing belly ups with her for about a year. Regretfully we don't do them daily with her . So my question is does anyone know of some simple exercises that my daughter do could with her as well as other exercises besides trot poles that might help?

Those sound like good suggestions. Unfortunately, I don't of anything else. My 30 year old is a little sway, too.

In case anyone is interested, someone suggested lounging on a small side hill, so she has to go up and down , we've been doing this as well as the others. So we'll see if it makes any difference.

You should try and take before photos and then later get some down the line and see if there is a difference. Take the photo in the same area, to make it easier to tell.
