Today is the last day of Summer. I know, it seems like Fall already started a while ago. Did you make goals for you and your horses this summer? Did you reach those goals? And do you have any goals to make for the Fall?

Well, with hubby getting hit by a car and out of work since June, and me and my foot surgery in August - this year hasn't been the most ideal horsey year for me. But, I only have 2 more weeks to go in my cast, and then I'm looking forward to getting back in the groove. My goal for fall is a simple one -- I'll be happy just to be able to get in the saddle!
Next year, though -- my goal is to send my QH Danny to a good trainer for 30-60 days to put some finishing work on him. He isn't very balanced at the canter with a rider, and his freight-train-like movement is a bit intimidating to me -- me who is used to the quick and smooth movements that my Arabs have at the canter.
My other goal is to keep working with Indy and get him trusting me again and have some fun with him. I don't know if he'll ever be a confident trail horse, but last year I had him to the point where he was confident and a ton of fun in an arena. So, we'll just see where we end up.

Well this year hasn't been horsey as it was the year before. My goal for fall this year will be to go on some trail rides for my horse, Fox. Next year I'm going to join Washington State Horsemen and get into gaming with him. Reardan has an equesterian team so after cheerleading season is over, I'm going to join the equesterian team here. Hopefully, since it's still 2010, I can do some horsey things before the year is over, and before winter settles in.

Hmmm...that's tough to say. I didn't really define my summer goals very well--but I'd say no anyway because I have that feeling I wish I'd done more.

Not near enough riding this summer especially with the cooler weather. Goal for fall to ride as much as possible.
