I was happy to have found your forum here last night as I pondered a new job offer. More then likely I'm going to accept it and will be on the road soon in hopes of missing the snow as I travel.
Although the little icon says I'm a new born foal, I'm really much more of an aged mare which is why I use OGM as my handle. (Old Gray Mare) I've also been somewhat of a Gypsy over the last few years as I returned to the East Coast just under a year ago after spending a few years in Western Washington.
Enuff with the boring stuff, I'd much rather talk horse! I hate to put a number to my years spent with or on a horse as it ages me horribly, but I will admit some of you haven't been around as long as they are cumulatively. I'm primarily a Western Rider with a long love of Reining and a fascination for Cutters and Polo, although of late I've been considering Dressage or just returning to trail riding. Problem is I'm horseless right now. I hope to change that once settled.
I know I have a lot to learn about the area and will try to not drive you all crazy with questions as they pop up!

Good luck with the move. People are nice over here--or, at least, horse people are. Lots of places to ride, too.

Welcome! I'd love to ride with you sometime. Lucky you! Once you begin to look for a horse, there are many to choose from and with prices that are very reasonable (ridiculous in fact). I live in the Cheney area, and this is my first year back in the saddle with a super horse I found last year.

Welcome! Hope the job offer pulls through and you find yourself in the great Inland NW! Winter is a little rough, but the people in this area are fantastic.

Thanks for all the replies! Today's the day to work out the details on the job front and get a start date. I assume November 1. Winter? .... eeks, I have been slightly concerned. Not so much about the snow fall as snow fall that isnt on flat roads!
I'm looking forward to all the possibilities the area offers and to meeting whoever would like to meet me!
Thanks again
