Hi, We don't yet have a horse but I am starting to look seriously. My ten year old daughter is absolutely passionate about horses; she has taken lessons since she was about 5 and we are currently leasing a former barrel-racer who loves to run. I would love to make my daughter's dream of owning her own horse come true.
As you know there are some great, very affordable horses for sale right now; my problem is the monthly boarding costs. I just can't pay $200-$300 a month, which seems to be the going rate at most of the places I've asked about. Ideally we would find something on the south side of Spokane, but we are willing to consider all our options at this point.
So I thought I'd put out some feelers to see if anyone has or knows of affordable boarding or if anyone is willing to get creative. We are willing to trade work (mucking stalls, help with other horses, painting barns, sewing etc.) for part of our monthly boarding expenses.
Someone recommended Busy Bee; I've contacted them but haven't yet heard back.
Any ideas/thoughts?
Thanks so much for your help!

You can check with Lady Raven Stables, but they are up North. They are also having a Stallion Showcase and Horse Sale (not Auction) up there, so that would be a good time to check it all out and talk with people. ladyravenstables.com/I've personally never been there.
