I would like to recommend a helpful website that I have found and used in the past. Mare Stare streams live foaling cams all over the world for mare owners to insure the safety and protection of their mares during the foaling season. This service has saved countless foals who were born unattended and were unable to get out of the sack on their own, saved mares who were cast in their stalls and alerted owners who were off site or sleeping, that their mares were foaling. I no longer breed horses as I lost my brood mare, but have become a Mare Stare addict keeping a watchful eye on the mares preparing to foal. So whether you're a breeder or one that would just be interested in being a watch dog for a mare owner, here is link to their home page: www.marestare.com/ and the link to the Foaling Alerts and Update Page, where you'll find the links to the farm Cams, usually in the first post. latigo.marestare.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=61n9j35ra5hd5itm7vcfqbojj1&board=6.0Warning: Very addicting!!!!

Glad you like it StillPlayswithHorses! It's very entertaining and addicting. I've learned so much by watching the cams and reading the message board. Try out the BarnAlarm: www.marestare.com/barnalarm/This will alert you to mares that are in labor (low alert) and mares foaling (High Alert). You must keep the BarnAlarm window OPEN and your volume turned up for it to work. This works great if you have things you need to do around your house and can't be in front of your computer, staring.
