These nifty little things replace the clanking metal clasps on your reins to make riding more comfortable for your horse. Or use them to replace your slobber straps - easier on/off and water doesn't hurt them. They can also replace the heavy snap on your lead rope, making a lightweight, very strong connection. I have had horses pull back on these and they didn't break, which is a lot more than I can say of a metal clip. These are black in color. I have a bunch already made and can always make more. I should probably point out that you don't need to know how to splice rope to use the connectors - you just run them through as shown in the photo below- kind of a square knot. Also easy to attach to a rope with a spliced loop at the end. $10 buys you a set of 2. Can ship or meet you somewhere. I can also make rope halters as shown in the photo below - $12 each. (This picture also shows the rein connectors in use) I also have a new halter/bridle design I need to take a better picture of. It has loops on either side of the nose down low (bottom of jaw area) to communicate better to the horse. No metal rings. It's kind of the same idea as a loping hackamore. I've been riding in mine all winter, not wanting to deal with warming up a cold bit. These are priced at $18 because they take a bit more time.
