Hi, I am new to the group. My Walkaloosa, and I have been riding inside Riverside State Pk. for years’ now, and she knows the trails like the back of her hoof! She likes to pick up the pace, and be in the lead, but she will go slower if I ask, or if the group wants to. We would enjoy the company of trail riders in the park, or anywhere else. Perhaps Liberty Lk., Slavin, Mt. Spokane, or Loon Lk. would be good places to meet those who want to begin the new year with some riding?
I have an outdoor full size dressage arena, and have been doing dressage patterns for many years’ also. Unfortunately, gaited horses are not allowed to participate in the dressage world, but we still practice anyway. I have found that dressage it good for any horses’ mind, weather it be English riding, Western riding, gaited animals, or getting ready for the trails.
Can someone reply if signing up with this website is actually joining the club?
Marlene

Hi Marlene,
Welcome. Yes, I think joining the forum is joining the club. We are more riding buddies than a formal club, IMO.
My name is Alisa and I live put in Tyler near Fishtrap. I have an Arabian gelding named Classy. We've been riding together for 19 years!

Hi Alisa,
Nice to meet you, and thank you for your reply! I too, have been riding for many years in this area where we live. My horse would enjoy having the company of you, and your horse, as she, and I ride alone most of the time.
Next week, I should have a new Crates western saddle, and will want to be breaking it in for the summer ahead. Come, and join us soon, or we could meet you!
Marlene

If you'd like to come ride with me, I have 800 acres to ride (we rent on a Cattle ranch). My email is flyingcowgirl @ live .com (take out the spaces). Alisa

Hi Marlene, Nice to meet you! We live up by Green Bluff/Mead and have a ranch where we train with 7 Arabs and part-Arabs. We also love trail riding and are training for endurance racing. During the summer, we enjoy riding Mt. Spokane and other mountains within the Selkirk Mountain Range. If you haven't been up to Mt. Spokane yet, it's a beautiful ride that's not far from town. Highly recommended. We are giving a series of clinics this year at Fairview Stables in Mead. April 30th and May 7th are our first two clinics. You are welcome to come! The May 7th clinic still has some space available for participants as well. - David

Hi Marlene: Nice to have another potential riding buddy. I have one horse, Cooper, and love to ride anywhere. I like to ride Slavin, Mt. Spokane, Riverside, and hopefully many new areas this coming summer. I don't think you'll find it hard to find someone to ride with. Everyone is very nice! I'm fairly new to the group, and have enjoyed the communication and meeting people with common interests. Horse people rock!
