My 7-year-old had a bad experience with a pony last year  , and I am looking at having her do some lessons again to regain her confidence. We've gone to Busy Bee but it's a bit of a hike and the teachers are pretty busy, so it's hard to coordinate a time. We looked at "the Ranch on 195", but it was still winter and they were in the process of switching over teachers. The new teacher was an experienced rider but didn't seem so experienced with teaching. We live behind Ferris HS. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

My friend/co-worker gives lessons and I think she has a pony. Her name is Robin Bhatia, and is up by Sporthorse (I think that's the name of the farm). Anyway, she's known in the area. I can get her info, if your interested. Does your child want to ride English or Western?
I really like Regina at Busy Bee, she's great.

I would love to have Robin's contact info. Sporthorse would be easy for us. Either discipline is fine - I learned English but currently ride Western. She's been on both kinds of saddles and in a controlled environment I don't think it will matter. The main thing is to get her comfortable again, even if in the long run she decides riding isn't for her (I would be sad, but it would be OK).

I think I will see her today in passing at work. I'll make sure she does have access to a pony. I'm pretty sure she does, but I'm not 100% sure if it's a clients own horse or what.

If you would like, I give lessons. we are right pass the Airforce Base, near Busy Bee. We have two sweet horses. I give lots of lessons to girls her age. if you would like to get a hold of me my phone number is 7689061. its $25 for 45 min lesson.
