This is next weekend.....most of us are going down on Saturday morning and camping one night, but you can camp however long you would like to.
No reservations- first come first serve. And no fee either- the websites say yes but we talked to some people and they told us not to worry about that.
I think there's fishing to do, and definitely hiking, lots of scenery to take pictures of, etc.
I believe no fires are allowed.

Thanks Katie for the lift; now all we need is nice weather! It hailed and rained during my daughter's soccer game today-it can only get better, right? I can bring Bute. I was planning to anyway.

There is running water available I hope? I think I have a big water jug in the camping gear if needed, but when it's full I can't move it!

Thanks Katie. I think might go on the Saturday only, I doubt we will camp because Bridgette has to sing on Sunday, but it's only about 1:30 from where we live, so that's not much of a drive anyway. We might have some hikers tag along, since our trailer can only carry 4 horses.

Isn't she singing at Klink's? I might go out there on Sunday night if I'm not too tired.

If the weather is cold I'm not going, or if its not real nice we may make it a day trip. I don't want to freeze at night. I'm a wimp about the cold.

10 would be best for me!! I'm going to go get Patty and her horse on the way. Either exit works for me......Not exactly sure where to park at @ Tyler exit, Sprague Exit we can park @ the gas station.

Tyler, you can just wait on the on ramp... truckers do it all the time. Or we can meet at the gas station in Sprague. They have coffee (espresso) there.

Yes, Bridgette is singing at Klink's on Friday and Sunday night, she also singing at Greenbriar Inn on Saturday night, so I don't think she'll be able to join us Saturday. I'll have to see if either my sister or Mom will make our fourth rider, but I think the other three of us want to be there on Saturday. (Can't miss the show at Klink's resort on Sunday).

I don't think I'm going to make it. I've come down with an awful cough/cold thing, and I don't feel like fighting the weather.

If the weather is decent, I will only be going for a day trip on Saturday. Sorry for backing out of the camping.

I just sent Patty a message to see what she wants to do. I personally don't want to drive all that way just for a day trip- and having second thoughts about the rattlesnakes- they are already out.

Patty and I won't be going to Escure. We'll go to Riverside State Park sometimes this weekend.

Rattlesnakes? Bah, bring a gun! And hope that you desensatized enough to fire it. Neither of mine have been shot off of but have had guns fired around them. Weather report looks iffy. I'm going to make other plans.

40% chance of rain... I’m still willing to go if there is enough interest.
If not, we could do something closer.. Springdale, Riverside, Missile... or?

Riverside is out of the questions for the entire weekend......Civil War reenactment and Bike Marathon going on there.
I'm going to look online for some more places to go. There's Hog Lake at Fishtrap, Palisades right by Riverside.....I'm looking.

Now they have taken the rain out for most of the day. Partly Cloudy throughout the night, morning and afternoon until 4pm when the rain starts coming in.

We've changed our plans as well, we'll go to the Missile site in Deer Park on Sunday instead, should be much better weather.
